Both New Yorkers, neither one a pushover, but they got along so well, they never once had a fight that we saw. It was almost surreal. They worked hard and worked well together, and we were impressed by Jill's toughness especially. Nothing phased her. And while there were several couple teams this season who had hulking boyfriends, watching these two was like Thumbelina dating Frankenstein. |

They chose the lesser of two Detour options, one that was inherently hard to navigate, and got lost on the way, compounding the problem. |

Jill taking a wipeout on the way to the rappel in Portugal, and not one tear, not one word, barely a missed step. Turning last place into first place by holding their boat in the slip in the Rheinfall, with Jill staring every competitor down while they did it. Not talking about eating cheese at the Fast Forward. Jill putting on lip gloss, just in case. |

This is getting published after Season 11 aired, so this is going to look like we're just trying to look smart, but we advocated JVJ as an All-Star team from the start. They are the kind of head-down, full-speed-ahead, no-nonsense team that we'd like to see more of on the race. But we never thought they'd actually do it.... |
